Wildfoods 2011 Bring your party to Wildfoods
2011 is the 22st successive year the Wildfoods Festival will be held in Hokitika. Last years attracted a restricted crowd of a little under 15,000 providing a unique experience of West Coast culture, and cuisine!
And on the menu?
Colostrum Pikelets, Colostrum Mousse, Colostrum Tarts, Gorse and garlic meat patties, Frogs Legs Churros, Cow Trip, Cow intestines, Cow Tongue, Cow Feet, Blackball venison sausages, Wild Thyme Burgers, Molecular Cuisine (hot jelly?!?!?), Pickled huhu, Plum Wines, and of course the usuals wild pork, venison, whitebait, haggis, black and meallie pudding, lamb and there’s a whisper that they might be getting Bison.
